About NEURISA

NEURISA was originally founded in 1986. Now experiencing a revival, the mission of the New England Chapter of the Urban & Regional Information Systems Association (NEURISA) is to:

  • Provide a forum for promoting and facilitating the use and integration of spatial information technology;
  • Foster relationships with professional organizations, both local and state, having similar interests;
  • Provide opportunities for the professional and educational development of the membership.
  • Represent the interests of GIS practitioners on issues affecting the geospatial profession.

NEURISA achieves this by:

  • Co-Sponsoring the NEGIS Conference
  • Sponsoring URISA educational workshops and other educational events
  • Promoting professional networking and mentoring opportunities

If you are interested in possible involvement with the chapter, please contact Neil MacGaffey, neil.macgaffey at state.ma.us .
