The New England Chapter of the Urban and Regional Information Systems Association (NEURISA) is pleased to announce the launch of its new website, featuring more content, event information, and self-service capabilities. In an effort to provide more information and better service to a growing contingent of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) practitioners and Information Technology professionals in the New England region, NEURISA built a website using the Wild Apricot membership management and website builder software.

Beyond the new look and feel, the website offers a way to stay up to date on events, connect with others in the geospatial community, and to learn more about the organization. “This new website is an important step in educating people about NEURISA, encouraging participation, and managing events as the growing chapter fulfills its mission…” said Paul Samara, President of NEURISA.

Content from the previous website was reorganized to provide easier navigation, better aesthetics, and access to membership management functionality. More content will be added in the coming months, as well as collaboration tools like a blog and discussion forum.

Visitors will find information about upcoming events directly on the www.neurisa.org homepage. Event information is linked directly to the detailed event webpage where one can register, add the event to a calendar, or learn more about presentation abstracts and speakers. Past event information is also provided.

Self-service capabilities allow a member to manage contact information, communication preferences, and event registrations.
