2011 Holiday Greetings from Your NEURISA President

Happy Holidays!

The Year 2011 has been a very productive and exciting one for NEURISA. Our membership has been steadily growing and now is approaching to 900, an increase of over 100 from 2010. We successfully hosted 4 quarterly Ignite events across New England and our annual NEURISA Day conference. We introduced two new programs at the annual conference: NERUISA Spatial Achievement Program and Exhibitor Speed Networking. We extended our presence to all the major social media outlets such as twitter, facebook and LinkedIn. We provided opportunities to promote and facilitate the use and integration of spatial information technology, fostered relationships with professional organizations, and provided opportunities for the professional and educational development of our membership.

Next year will be even better. I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our 2012 President, Mike Olkin from the Town of Amherst, MA and 2012 President-Elect, Steve Sharp from Vermont Center for Geographic Information.

I also would like to encourage all of you to get involved, share your ideas and help the organization advance.

Have a safe and happy holiday season!

Ms. Feng Yang,
President, NEURISA
