About the Presenters
Here's a sample of the people teaching workshops and giving presentations at NEURISA events:
Jon Giles, PLS, GIS Manager and Assistant Survey Manager, Sebago Technics Inc.
Jon has more than 15 years' experience in the field of surveying and mapping. During that time Jon has worked as a licensed land surveyor in Maine, a municipal GIS Coordinator, and as vice president of an aerial mapping and GIS firm. His experience includes boundary surveying, engineering surveys, GIS, GPS (both survey and mapping-grades), control surveys, and aerial mapping data development. Sebago Technics is a Maine based Land Surveying, Engineering, and Landscape Architecture firm, with offices in Westbrook and Lewiston, Maine.
Darren J. Hardy, PLS, Survey Manager, WSP Sells
A multiple state licensed Land Surveyor, Darren Hardy is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick and the College of Geographic Sciences in Canada, and was subsequently employed by the New Brunswick Department of Transportation. While there, he authored a technical report on post processing of GPS data that is still currently used as the GPS guide for the Department. Since working in the U.S., he has been responsible for the execution and quality of numerous GIS data sets for a variety of projects throughout the Northeast and has taught GPS courses to several consultants in New England. Mr. Hardy has been employed by WSP SELLS for the past 10 years, during which time he has served as a project manager and a survey manager overseeing the New England survey offices. WSP Sells is part of the WSP Group which specializes in the property, environmental, transportation and infrastructure sectors, providing a full range of services from planning through to design, implementation, and maintenance. WSP Sells has offices in states from South Carolina to New Hampshire.
